Steve Boyer talks about his ornate gingerbread castle at The Wellington Senior Residence in Salt Lake City on Saturday. Boyer has spent well over 500 hours making the gingerbread castle, which is 4 feet wide and nearly 6 feet tall. Pictured is only the top two tiers. He will assemble it with the bottom level once completed. After residents see it at The Wellington, where Boyer also works as the dining director, the castle will be on display at the Festival of Trees Dec. 2-5 at the South Towne Exposition Center.
