The Deseret News annual Christmas writing contest, "Christmas I Remember Best," is accepting entries through Tuesday, Dec. 1.

Christmas is a time to remember and reflect on past holidays. The News is asking readers to write original stories about their most memorable Christmas.

Up to six stories will be chosen for publication in the newspaper the week prior to Christmas, with the final story appearing on Christmas Day. These true-life stories should be original and no more than 800 words. The judges prefer stories that cover a wide range of Christmas experiences, including humor.

Ideally, stories should be written on a computer or typewriter, or printed out legibly so they can be easily read. The author's name, address, daytime and evening phone numbers and e-mail address, if possible, must be included.

Address entries to "Christmas Best," c/o Deseret News, 30 East 100 South, Suite 400, P.O. Box 1257, Salt Lake City, UT, 84110. Fax entries to 801-237-2528 or send e-mails to christmas@desnews.com.

For more information, call 801-237-2135.
