A man who police say has a history of meeting young girls on the Internet and engaging in sexual relations with them has been arrested in Salt Lake City.

Kahea Kaonohiokala Troy, 29, was arrested by Salt Lake police Tuesday for investigation of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and being a fugitive from justice.

Troy met a 14-year-old girl on the Internet and the two eventually got together, said Salt Lake police detective Dennis McGowan. Troy reportedly said the girl told him she was 18.

Troy also had a warrant out of Idaho on a similar crime, McGowan said. According to a Salt Lake County Jail document, Troy had an active warrant out of Boise for enticing a minor over the Internet.

Details about that case were not immediately available Wednesday.
