FOOTBALL: Weber State senior Beau Hadley has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Football First Team for the second-straight season. Hadley is one of five repeat selections on the 24-member team. The team is selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)

The Taylor, Utah, native holds a 4.00 GPA in technical sales at Weber State. He is the only player from the Big Sky Conference to receive First Team Academic All-American honors.

Hadley has appeared in 43 career games at Weber State. This season he was named to the Big Sky All-Conference Defensive Second Team. He has played in all 11 games this season and ranks second in the league in forced fumbles with three. He is also 22nd in tackles with 71 total tackles on the year.

He currently ranks second in Weber State history in career forced fumbles with eight and also has three career fumble recoveries. He is also ninth in WSU history in pass deflections with 15 and has seven career interceptions..

Hadley joins the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow of Florida, Kyle Minett of South Dakota State, Brandon Wingeir of Dayton, and Josh Hull of Penn State as players picked to the First Team in two consecutive years.

Weber State finished 7-4 this season and advanced to the NCAA FCS Playoffs for the second straight season. The Wildcats will play at William & Mary in the first round of the playoffs this Saturday in Williamsburg, Virginia.
