BYU, SUU women meet tonight in Cedar

The Brigham Young University women's basketball team will take a trip down to Cedar City to battle the Southern Utah University Thunderbirds tonight at 7 p.m.

The BYU women come into the contest with a 2-1 early-season record, their only loss coming to Washington 67-66 on a last second three-pointer by the Huskies.

The Cougars hold the all-time series mark against the T-Birds with a 21-3 record and bested SUU last year in Provo 70-64. Mindy Nielson leads BYU in scoring this season with 11.7 points per game, but the Cougar team boasts a balanced attack as six Cougars average over seven points per game this year. BYU has also posted four double digit scorers in each of it's three games so far.

The T-Birds will be looking for their first victory of the season after starting 0-3, including a loss to Weber State.
