Rushing to judge Palin

Why do columnists Ann McFeatters and Ellen Goodman rush to judgment of Sarah Palin? Goodman claims that Palin's authorship of a book is proof that she is unqualified for the presidency. Really? Her poster boy president must be equally unprepared to serve since he authored a book as well.

McFeatters states that what Palin is doing, and doing brilliantly, is being a celebrity, as though looks and charisma have nothing at all to do with presidential qualifications. It is unfortunate that President Obama does not incur the same type of scrutiny that the mainstream media wish to apply to Sarah Palin.
