It appears that we can thank President Bill Clinton for the soldiers at Fort Hood being unable to defend themselves. The military imposed the rule that military personnel could not carry firearms on bases in the states. This was done during the Clinton administration, undoubtedly with the encouragement and approval of the commander in chief. What part of "shall not be infringed" does the administration not understand? At least when our sons are overseas they can shoot back.
