VOLLEYBALL: The Salt Lake Community College women's volleyball team fell in a five-set thriller to conference rival College of Southern Idaho 25-21, 17-25, 13-25, 25-16, 10-15 at the NJCAA National Tournament in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Salt Lake (29-8) will play for third place today against Western Nebraska College.
The SLCC offense never found its rhythm, ending the match with a .215 hitting percentage while committing 24 errors.
Three Salt Lake hitters finished with double digit kills. Shelbi Zaldain had a team-high 13 kills, and Ame White and LaKell Havens both had 11 kills.
