SOUTH OGDEN — Police are searching for suspects in a shooting Friday that wounded a South Ogden man.

Richard Lambeth, 39, called police shortly after 7:30 a.m. to report he'd been injured in a fight. When officers arrived at Lambeth's home, however, they discovered he had been shot in the arm, said South Ogden police spokeswoman Marci Edwards.

Lambeth told police he had been partying at a home in the 4200 block of Adams Avenue when a fight occurred. He said the fight ended and several men made threats as they left the party.

Edwards said the men returned to the home several hours later and engaged Lambeth in another fight.

"At some point during the fight one of the suspects pulled a gun and Lambeth fled out the back door of the home," Edwards said. "As Lambeth fled, he was shot in the arm.

Lambeth was treated at McKay-Dee Hospital and later released.

Anyone with information is asked to call South Ogden police at 801-629-8221.
