The Leonardo, in conjunction with the Utah Science Technology and Research initiative, will host the first Leonardo After Hours event titled "Cashing in on Green (Energy)" on Tuesday, Dec. 8.

The free program will run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Olive Bistro, 50 W. 200 South. Priority will be given to people who RSVP to rsvp@theleonardo.org or call 801-531-9800.

During the program, three local "green technology" experts will discuss what's new and what's next in the world of alternative energy and why our country's economic future may depend on aggressively pursuing these new technologies and techniques. Topics to be discussed will include laser wind-mapping, solar nanotechnology and smart thermo-siphons.
