After reading your article (Nov. 15) about Sen. Bob Bennett's risk of losing his seat, one of many things it seemed to leave out is that in Bennett's health-care bill that he co-sponsored, a section in the bill mandates individual Americans to purchase health insurance. If one does not purchase health insurance, heavy fines and penalties will be incurred.
The federal government has never forced an American citizen to purchase any product. To do so is a clear violation of Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution and 10th Amendment.
