Class 5A Finals – Bingham (12-1) vs. Davis (10-2)

Bingham makes its third championship game appearance in four years while Davis is in the title game for just the third time in 16 seasons.

All-time series: Davis leads 12-4-1. They've met in three distinct periods: during the regular season from 1935-43 (except for '37) and from 1972-76, and then in the '04, '06 and '07 quarterfinals. Bingham has taken two straight, including a 45-7 quarterfinal win in 2007.

During the middle set of games, these two battled for the 1974 Class 3A title. Dart Victor Castellano rushed for 275 yards, including an 86-yard TD run, and returned the second-half kickoff 76 yards for a score. He also kicked two PATs and a 25-yard field goal in overtime to lead Davis to a thrilling 17-14 victory.

Davis' Tanner Hinds leads 5A in rushing touchdowns with 23 and Bingham's Harvey Langi is second with 20. However, both have scored 24 TDs this year – Hinds scored on a punt return and Langi has four TD receptions. Hinds has rushed for over 100 yards nine times this season and leads 5A in rushing yards with 1,888.
