A West Valley City man has been charged with aggravated assault after a fight with his younger brother left the boy with several stab wounds, according to court documents.

The brothers, ages18 and 16, were fighting at their home near 4400 West and 3800 South when the younger boy felt his arm hurting and realized he had been stabbed, according to charging documents filed Monday in 3rd District Court.

The younger boy was sent to the hospital with eight cuts or stab wounds, including a laceration to the throat that required 35 stitches and another on his throat that needed 45 stitches, court records state.
