Talk shows needed

I am not going to flail against Don Gale or Tom Barberi. The forum of public opinion is one where we can exchange views and promote rational discussions. To that end, Mr. Gale and Mr. Barberi have done an admirable job. They should know, however, a significant reason why the radio talk show hosts exist and succeed can be summarized in two words: Charlie Gibson.

When the country's major television networks and prominent newspapers are either unaware or refuse to make available stories that have far-reaching consequences, then others must rise and make the case. You may disapprove of the messenger, but the message must be heard.
