BEAVER DAM, Box Elder County — Crews from five fire departments battled a blaze Tuesday that destroyed a home.

The fire was reported about 9:20 a.m., according to the Box Elder County Sheriff's Office. When firefighters arrived at the home, 15370 N. 400 West, it was fully engulfed.

The homeowner was contacted at work and confirmed that no one was inside, the sheriff's office said.

Crews from the Box Elder County, Tremonton, Honeyville, Fielding and Garfield fire departments fought the fire. The home is considered a total loss. A damage estimate was not available.

Box Elder County Fire Marshal Greg Martz is investigating the cause of the fire, which he said does not appear to be suspicious in nature.
