CLEVELAND — Baltimore Ravens defensive lineman and Highland High product Haloti Ngata was inactive for Monday night's game against the Cleveland Browns because of an ankle injury.
Ngata, a 6-foot-4, 345-pound run stopper, also missed last week's game against Cincinnati. Justin Bannan was expected to fill in for Ngata for the Ravens (4-4) .
The Browns (1-7) were without punter Dave Zastudil, who is leading the league with 25 punts inside the 20-yard line. He was out with a sore right knee that has bothered him most of the season. Reggie Hodges was signed by Cleveland on Sunday to replace Zastudil. He punted in four games for Tennessee this season before being released on Oct. 27.
Browns running back Jamal Lewis was expected to play despite being limited in practice last week with an ankle injury.
