Two words: an eternity.

That is my answer to Lee Padron's question: "How long before gays are offered all the LDS Church offers its members?" (Readers' Forum, Nov. 12).

The difference between banning discrimination and allowing gay marriage is enormous. Banning discrimination against gays in the job and housing market is far from having a desire to change the familial system. The family is the most important unit in the LDS Church and the world. The LDS Church will never allow gay marriage within its temples.
