MEN'S BASKETBALL: The difference maker in SLCC's 68-61 victory was the free-throw line. SLCC reached the free throw line 32 times sinking 21 while Mesa only reached the line 15 times connecting on nine. SLCC takes their record to 5-0 with SWAC play beginning next weekend.
Guard Darian Norris led the Bruins with 16 points and eight rebounds, six of his rebounds were offensive. Sol Jensen earned a tough 11 points in the paint while collecting seven rebounds. Collin Chiverton finished the game with 14 points and three steals.
SLCC (5-0) takes their five game winning streak on the road to face the hostile College of Southern Idaho crowd on November 19th followed by a trip up to #4 North Idaho November 21st. North Idaho is the defending SWAC Champions.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: The Bruins completed the three game sweep by defeating the Southern Idaho All Stars 74-62 in Twin Falls, Idaho. The team is now 5-1 overall heading into SWAC play.
Amie Jensen came off the bench to lead the team with 14 points. Haley Holmstead finished her weekend with 13 points, nine rebounds, four assist
and two steals. Dayan Burgess added in 10 points with eight rebounds.
