If what I have heard on the news and read in the paper about recent gay acceptance by the Salt Lake City Council and the LDS Church is true, I am very, very, very disappointed. I can still remember the wonderful feelings I had in the late 1960s when first hearing of the LDS Church and then visiting Salt Lake City in the early 1970s. It was a beautiful and friendly city, but it is rapidly becoming the Sodom and Gomorrah of our century.

Employers should have rights, and among those is the right to hire and fire whom they want. Landlords and all providers of shelter should have equal rights to provide service as they want. At one time I operated a bed and breakfast, making it clear that I only provided services to those who adhered to traditional family values.

I totally accept the "Proclamation on the Family" and consider it the greatest document in recent times. Yes, I have compassion for those who choose a different lifestyle but will never knowingly support them.
