ERIC HINDERAKER, University of Utah professor of history, will present a lecture titled "The Ball-Headed War Club as Weapon, Ritual Object and Artifact" in conjunction with the exhibition "Splendid Heritage: Perspectives on American Indian Art," Wednesday, Nov. 18, 7 p.m., Utah Museum of Fine Arts, 410 Campus Center Drive, Salt Lake City (801-581-7332 or www.umfa.utah.edu).

Art in Transit announces the availability of public art commissions on the North Temple TRAX line. There will be five commissions awarded at $90,000 each.
