WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: The Bruins defeated No. 5 Midland College 62-61 in Twin Falls, Idaho. The win takes Salt Lakes record to 3-1 overall.

With 1:30 left in the game Salt Lake was trailing by three points when Haley Holmstead took over the game. Holmstead scored the last four points for Salt Lake sinking a free throw to take the lead with 13 seconds left. Two big defensive stops with less than one minute left on the clock sealed the win for Salt Lake.

Holmstead finished the game with 21 points followed by Sheila Adams with 10. Jami Mokofisi came off the bench to score a tough eight points.
