Girl dies, others hurt in I-15 crash

CEDAR CITY — A single-car accident claimed the life of a young girl on I-15 Thursday night.

The Utah Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred about 7:45 p.m., shutting down the left northbound lane on the freeway. The girl, whom police estimated to be about 12 years old, died, and three to four people were transported to a local hospital. The investigation was ongoing late Thursday night.
