After Mountain Crest completed a 53-yard pass to Timpview's 23-yard line two plays into the third quarter, Mustang QB Alex Kuresa is sacked and fumbles the ball. Timpview's Peter Quiterio recovers the fumble and Timpview increases its lead to 28-14 seven plays later.
A BIT OF HISTORY
The Timpview T-Birds can join some elite company next week if they win their fourth-straight state title. Skyline (1995-99) and East (1919-23) own the state record with five straight state championships, while Millard is close behind with four state championships (1950-53).
