Update: Springville will attempt to end the season on a nine-game winning streak and earn its first football title in school history.

PLAY OF THE GAME

With 40 seconds remaining, Springville clinging to an eight-point lead and the Flyers marching down the field, junior Zach Gardanier intercepted a Mike Sharp pass to halt the Dixie comeback and reserve a spot for the Red Devils in the 4A championship game.

A BIT OF HISTORY

The last time the Red Devils advanced to the championship game was 1985, when they beat Jordan 13-9 in the semifinal matchup. Current head coach Scott Mitchell was the quarterback of that Springville squad.
