LDS Film Festival deadline extended
The deadline to postmark entries for the LDS Film Festival's seven-page script competition has been extended until Nov. 16, which is also when entries for the short-film competition must be postmarked, according to a news release. In the seven-page script competition, three of the screenplays will be produced and planned to be premiered at the January festival. The three scripts will win the first-place prize of $200.
The short-film competition includes films that are 20 minutes or shorter and has a first-place prize award of $1,000.

At least a dozen films screened at the film festival last year have been either released in theaters or on DVD, including "One Good Man," "The Adventures of Food Boy," "Dragon Hunter," "Once Upon a Summer" and "Scout Camp."
