El Salvador flooding, mudslides kill 8 Mormon Church members

Torrential rains across El Salvador triggered floods and mudslides over the weekend of Sunday Nov. 8, killing at least 130 people including eight members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, according to a church welfare report, but all Mormon missionaries are safe.

Two Mormon Church stakes in San Salvador have organized food, clothing and other relief supplies to send to the affected families; additional supplies are being purchased and distributed locally.
