MEN'S VOLLEYBALL: A match between Hawaii and BYU will be held on the Valley Island in February. The match will be played at 2,900-seat War Memorial Gym on Feb. 27 at 5 p.m. One day earlier, Hawai'i and BYU will play at the Stan Sheriff Center. Both matches count toward the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation standings.

The match will mark the first time UH will host a ticketed regular season match on Maui in any sport since the football team opened the 2001 season against Montana. In 2003, the Rainbow Warrior basketball team participated in the Maui Invitational which was hosted by Chaminade University. UH's tennis teams have also played there in recent years.

"We're excited to be able to take our men's volleyball team to Maui to play an important conference match," Donovan said. "BYU has been a rival for many of our teams and men's volleyball is no different. We're thankful for Hawaiian Airlines' support of UH Athletics throughout the years and Mayor Tavares and Senator (Shan) Tsutsui for making this event possible. Our Maui fans will be treated to high quality volleyball and I know Coach (Charlie) Wade will have his team ready to put on a show for them."

MEN'S SOCCER: On Saturday the BYU Men's Soccer team will host its fourth annual Calle Tournament.

"It's a great opportunity for our guys to go out and get some buddies and play," said head coach Chris Watkins. "It's a nice fund raiser for us but it's a good opportunity to go out and have a good time."

The tournament is for BYU students who can sign up by e-mailing or calling Tyler Christiansen at tylercrash@hotmail.com or 801-891-2185.

Games will be played in the parking lot north of the Indoor Practice Facility on campus. If there's bad weather the tournament will be moved inside the Richards Building and played on the basketball courts. BYU students can enter at a cost of $80 per team.

Teams are comprised of unlimited roster size but four players play at a time. The tournament will be round robin, then elimination style.

Spectators are welcome to watch the action. The winners will receive a BYU shirt and official Calle gear. Proceeds will go toward the BYU Men's Soccer Foundation.

Calle (pronounced KAI-yay) is a fashion, life-style brand focused on the niche of street soccer. Calle produces clothing and apparel for soccer players to wear around in a casual setting and equipment for players to use in street soccer. Behind the brand is a movement in American soccer to play whenever and wherever people can. Calle facilitates street soccer.
