Mayor has it wrong

I am astonished at the comment by Mayor Heather Jackson of Eagle Mountain about winning by 33 votes (Nov. 5). She thinks "that the voters are saying, 'We like the stable nature of the community that we have had over the last four years.' " That's way off the mark. Winning by that close a margin does not say the voters are happy. She barely won, which means half the voters are not happy and want change. Just staying out of the newspapers is not good enough for the residents of Eagle Mountain.
