Bill O'Reilly to speak at U.
Fox News host Bill O'Reilly will speak at the University of Utah on Saturday.
According to producers, O'Reilly plans to draw on his many years of experience as a cable news pundit to provide insight and opinion on the pressing political and social issues of the day. Whether it's on the president or the press, Congress or culture wars, O'Reilly will "cut through the rhetoric and share his unique and engaging viewpoint from 'the No-Spin Zone.'"
During his more than 30 years of experience as a journalist, O'Reilly has won two Emmy Awards for excellence in reporting, and various other awards while working as a national correspondent for ABC News, and for his reporting and analysis on and after September 11, 2001. His current venture, "The O'Reilly Factor," on Fox News, which is broadcast in America and more than 30 other countries around the world, has been the No. 1 cable news talk show since 2001.He has also been a lightening rod for controversy. In 2004, he was sued for sexual harassment by a co-worker, a lawsuit that was settled out of court for an undisclosed amount. Critics, such as left-leaning organizations like Media Matters, have criticized his reporting, accusing him of using misleading statistics and distorting facts. O'Reilly will speak Nov. 14, at 7:30 p.m., at the U.'s Jon M. Huntsman Center, located at 1825 S. Campus Drive. Tickets can be purchased online at www.utahtickets.com, at the U.'s box office at Rice-Eccles Stadium, or by calling 801-581-UTIX.
