SOUTH SALT LAKE — Two men are in big trouble with the law after investigators said they committed an aggravated robbery that netted them just $3.
The Saturday incident began about 11:20 p.m. when a man gave two others a ride near 2800 S. State, South Salt Lake police Sgt. Gary Keller said.
Near the area of 200 East and 3300 South, however, as the men were getting out, one man held the 32-year-old victim while the other pistol-whipped him, Keller said. The two fled after robbing the man of $3, Keller said.
Gilbert Ellis, 50, was arrested a short time later. Scott Robert, 43, was arrested Monday near 2000 South and 1350 East after Salt Lake police were called to the area on an unrelated call and spotted him. Robert barricaded himself inside his apartment but eventually surrendered without further incident.
