Poets wring out rhymes, good times

Cowboy poet Waddie Mitchell, who also served as host for the event, performs his poetry Friday at Heber City's 15th annual Cowboy Poetry Gathering and Buckaroo Fair. The event, which started Tuesday at the Midway Town Hall with a steak dinner and concert, will conclude today with more cowboy festivities, including a cowboy dinner and show at the Zermatt Resort at 6:30 p.m. Other events planned for today include a Bar J Wranglers matinee concert at 11 a.m. in the Wasatch High School auditorium and a Baxter Black concert, also at the high school, at 2 p.m. The Three Amigos will perform at the high school at 4:30 p.m. For more information, go to www.hebercitycowboypoetry.com.
