Irish workers protest budget plans

Workers from the public sector protest on the streets of Dublin Friday. Tens of thousands of workers marched through Dublin and seven other Irish cities in protest against government plans to impose an emergency budget and rein in the nation's soaring deficit. The Irish Congress of Trade Unions said its "national day of action" was designed to pressure the government to reduce its budget-cutting plans.
