Stop racist behavior

My son and I are Latin people. Last year when my son was at school, a boy was bullying him by saying, "Mexican! Go back to your country!" So my son told the principal, but he didn't do anything until my son hit the other boy. That's when they called me and the police. I asked the principal why he didn't do anything when the other boy started verbally abusing my son. His answer was, "I think his parents are racist; that's why he is like that."

I don't think a parent's racism is an excuse for a child to bully my son. Principals should stop racist behavior whenever they see it, not use it as an excuse for inaction.
