Not above reproach

It is getting so elected officials feel they should be treated special because of their official status. Examples are the mayor who fired a police officer for giving his son a citation, a congressman who feels he is above going through security machines at the airport, and state legislative members who oppose limits on campaign donations.

I feel legislative limits need to be set for state candidates and office holders. Elected officials are in positions of authority and targets for corruption by special-interest groups. Officials seem to forget who they represent and yield to the temptation of power and money.
