Fix broken stuff first

I am writing to voice my opposition to the health-care reform being considered. I agree that significant change is needed, however, rushing through legislation for the sake of saying reform is under way doesn't make sense.

The current problems and short-comings of health care did not happen overnight and legislating doesn't automatically mean the problem is solved. Let's first fix some of the broken stuff to make things more efficient and cost effective, then worry about phasing in over time so the whole system isn't overwhelmed. I think most Americans have concerns about any large government program given its track record with Medicare and Social Security. There is too much waste, too much fraud and too much red tape.
