Hotel creates the 'Twilight' mood
There are Stephenie Meyer fans out there who practically eat and sleep the "Twilight" series.
Now, they can step into that world at the Anniversary Inn in downtown Salt Lake City, which has created two "Twilight"-themed rooms: the "Twilight" suite and "Twilight the Meadow" suite, just in time for the opening of the second movie, "New Moon."
Amenities to help create the mood include Edward and Bella lotions, vampire wine glasses and werewolf and vampire books. In the "Twilight" suite there's a realistic mural of the "New Moon" in the Olympic National forest, and steps lead up to the Multonomah Falls waterfall. In the "Meadow" suite, the bed in the center of the meadow is surrounded by a canopy of trees under the "New Moon."
Utah has one of the largest fan bases for the "Twilight" novels, notes Anniversary Inn marketing director Julie DeGraw, who hopes the addition of the rooms "will offer to our guests a chance to live in the world of 'Twilight' and be enveloped in the story Stephenie Meyer has created."
The "Twilight" suites are at the Inn's 500 South location. It is taking reservations for the "Twilight" suite now, and will start taking reservations for the "Meadow" on Nov. 20, the day the movie opens.
