Yankee $$ obscene
Well, the Yankees bought another World Series. A Bronx cheer for George Steinbrenner and family. They squelched the salary cap by forking over millions in luxury tax to pay players' obscene salaries. Yankee prima donnas averaged more than twice the salary of the Phillies.
Not-so-rich hard-working Yankee fans not only pay for pampered players, but — as taxpayers — pour hundreds of millions of dollars into the new $2 billion-plus Yankee Stadium.
Oh for the good old days when box seats cost $4.50 instead of $510 or more.
