No tax dollars for sex ed
The use of taxpayer money is not always the answer to a problem.
Rep. Lynn Hemingway and Audrey Jiricko, M.D., should be developing their own forum for teaching sex education to our youths using their own resources, not public funding. Simplifying the educational agenda will encourage the use of public educational funds in basics such as reading, writing, math, the sciences, higher teacher pay and smaller classroom sizes.
Our senators and representatives should be finding ways to reduce special interest use of public funds. The teaching of sex education in schools is a special interest that should be left to parents and the private sector. It's time we taught our children to look beyond government to solve their problems.
