Listen to taxpayers

Note to the Deseret News: Once again, you support any tax increase that comes down the pike — in this case, school bonds, which are tax increases no matter how you play with the language. Step out of your ivory tower and listen to Utah taxpayers. They are telling you to stop treating them as money trees.

Note to Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon: Thanks for making a major effort to cut the county budget. Unfortunately, you still missed the point. You passed a tax increase on county residents.

Note to Gov. Gary Herbert: Please be true to your words. Don't pull a last-minute Corroon.

Note to Utah legislators: Are you getting it? No tax hikes. Period.
