NFL Rankings

1. Colts: Continuing to roll, winning their last four games by at least 17 points

2. Saints: Stunning comeback against Dolphins shows this team is pretty special

3. Broncos: Had bye week to enjoy their spectacular 6-0 start to the 2009 season

4. Patriots: Tom Brady is now 1-0 in international games, although win came vs. Bucs

5. Steelers: Far from dominant, but the champs are getting everyone's best shot

6. Vikings: Doomed by key turnovers, but had good showing in loss to Steelers

7. Bengals: So they can win games without them coming down to the final seconds

8. Packers: Gotten well against a couple of sorry teams in time for showdown

9. Cowboys: Looking dangerous with the emergence of receiver Miles Austin

10. Cardinals: Beat up what's supposedly a physical team in impressive win Sunday night

Game of the week

Vikings at Packers

There's been plenty of hype for Favre Bowl II. But what's seemingly lost in the hoopla is that this game is huge in the NFC North standings. The Vikings could take a commanding lead with a victory, so it's a must win for the Pack.

Team on the rise

Cowboys

It took six games, but they finally look legitimate. Tony Romo has a No. 1 target who isn't a head case, and that's helping the offense produce.

Team on the decline

Giants

In the span of two weeks, they've gone from contender to pretender. The defense has looked soft and Eli Manning has made some poor throws.
