A Salt Lake man was charged Thursday with kidnapping and stabbing another man.
Juan Lopez, 35, allegedly pulled a knife out of his sweatshirt pocket and pointed it at the man to convince him to drive to 2200 North and 3000 West on Oct. 11, according to charging documents filed in 3rd District Court.
Upon arriving, Lopez allegedly stabbed the man repeatedly with the knife, court documents state.
A Salt Lake police officer escorted the injured victim to Intermountain Medical Center for treatment to lacerations on the right side of his body.
Lopez was charged with aggravated kidnapping, a first-degree felony, and aggravated assault, a third-degree felony, documents state. Bail was set at $15,000.
