LOGAN— Two days prior to its first exhibition game of the 2009-10 season, Utah State's men's basketball team held its first public outing on Wednesday night at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum in its annual Blue-White Scrimmage as veteran head coach Stew Morrill ran his team through two 10-minute sessions in front of approximately 3,000 fans.

Junior forward Tai Wesley had a game-high 13 points as he was 4-of-6 from the field and a perfect 5-of-5 at the free throw line. Sophomore forward Brady Jardine also performed well as he finished with 12 points and a team-high four rebounds as he was 6-of-7 from the field.

Utah State also had a couple of newcomers put up impressive numbers as junior guard Brian Green hit four-straight 3-pointers during the second 10-minute session and finished the scrimmage with 12 points as he was 4-of-5 from the field overall. Freshman guard Preston Medlin added eight points on 3-of-5 shooting, including 2-of-4 from behind the arc.

As a team, Utah State shot 58 percent from the field (28-48) during the scrimmage, including 40 percent from 3-point range (6-15) and 93 percent from the free throw line (14-15). The teams also combined for 21 assists and seven turnovers.

Next up for Utah State will be its first exhibition game of the 2009-10 season on Friday, Oct. 30 against Northwest Nazarene at 7 p.m.
