The Social Media Club of Salt Lake City has received more than 200 submissions for the inaugural Utah Social Media Awards.
An awards ceremony is set for 6 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 6 at Noah's, 322 W. 11000 South, South Jordan. The ceremony is designed to honor Utah companies and individuals "that have effectively and creatively used social media initiatives to build community connections and further company reach."
Of those nominated, nearly two dozen have been selected for awards.
The keynote speaker at the Nov. 6 event will be David Bradford, chief executive officer of Salt Lake-based Fusion-io.
Tickets are $50 and are available at www.utahsocialmediaawards.info/event-tickets.
