I want to thank Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon for consistently opposing tax increases and proposing budget cuts. While Barack Obama and Congress are spending us into oblivion, Mayor Corroon is using his power wisely. I'm sure it hasn't been easy for the mayor to work this out, but it appears to be a good budget considering the present situation. Even though it results in a small tax increase, the people will benefit more over time. If our county infrastructure is neglected we will all lose.
