Jazz shooting guard Kyle Korver's knee surgery has been rescheduled from today to Wednesday in New York, a team spokesman said this morning.

Korver plans to have arthroscopic surgery to address a bone spur in his left knee, an injury that kept him from playing in all but one of the Jazz's eight preseason games.

The Jazz have not issued a timetable for how long Korver's recovery is expected to last, but it's believed he anticipates being out about six weeks.

If that's the case, Korver would miss about 21 games, or roughly a quarter of the season.

That includes the Jazz's 2009-10 NBA regular-season opener Wednesday night at Denver, and their home opener Friday night against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Jazz were not certain why Korver's surgery had been rescheduled, the spokesman said.
