WOMEN'S SOCCER: The Aggies' unbeaten streak stopped at four matches after a 3-1 loss to Hawaii on Sunday in Honolulu.

With the loss the Aggies fall to 8-8-1 overall 3-2-1 in Western Athletic Conference matches. The Rainbow Wahine improve to 6-10-1 overall and 2-4-0 in WAC action.

"We showed glimpses of playing well, but overall they out played us," USU head coach Heather Cairns said. "Hawai=1B$B!F=1B(Bi is a tough place to play. You have to be focused. You are playing against team on senior day that is trying keep their tournament hopes alive, and they out played us. We have to give them credit."

The Aggies tied the scored at 1-1 when sophomore forward Shantel Flanary scored her team-leading eighth goal of the season in the sixth minute. Flanary took a deflection off of a Rainbow Wahine defender and launched a hard shot to the right side of the net. Utah State concludes the regular season next week, taking on Louisiana Tech on Friday, Oct. 30 and WAC-newcomer New Mexico State on Sunday, Nov. 1. Against New Mexico State, the Aggies will celebrate senior day and will honor its three seniors, Lindsey Smart, Erin Salmon and Sydne Garner.

FOOTBALL: Walter McClenton has been named the Utah State Student-Athlete of the Week. McClenton, a sophomore safety from Arlington, Texas (Bowie HS), had just one career tackle to his name coming into Saturday, but came off bench and logged a career-high 14 tackles, to lead USU to its first Western Athletic Conference win of the season. McClenton, who posted one sack, one forced fumble and one pass break-up, was called into action after staring safety James Brindley went out with an injury in the second series.

His sack and forced fumble came on the same play, sacking LTU QB Ross Jenkins on a third-down play, forcing LTU to punt, and setting up USU's winning points. That play was his third tackle in a span of four plays. The 14 stops ties Brindley for the most for USU this season and is tied for the second-most in the WAC this year.

MEN'S GOLF: Utah State's Tanner Higham is currently tied for sixth-place with a three-under par 141 and Utah State is in seventh-place as a team after the first two rounds of the Cal State Northridge hosted Bill Cullum Invitational held in Simi Valley, Calif., on Monday.
