Top passing performance

Carson Palmer, Cincinnati Bengals

Talk about efficient. The former Heisman winner shredded the Bears defense for five touchdown passes and was 20-for-24 for 233 yards. His overall quarterback rating was a 146.7 rating. The highest rating possible is 158.3.

Top rushing performance

Cedric Benson, Cincinnati Bengals

He said he felt slighted by Chicago, and this former Bears' first-round draft pick certainly played like he had something to prove against his old team. His workmanlike performance included a career-high 37 carries for a whopping 189 yards and a touchdown.

Top receiving performance

Miles Austin, Dallas Cowboys

The fifth-year player out of tiny Monmouth College continued with his breakout season. The speedster caught only six passes, but made the most out of them as he totaled 171 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 28.5 yards per catch.

Redskins coach Jim Zorn was given a vote of confidence by the team's ownership this week saying that he will be the head coach for the remainder of the season, even if he will not be calling the offensive plays anymore. The Eagles need to rediscover their playing form after being blown out by the lowly Oakland Raiders last week, making QB JaMarcus Russell look like a Pro-Bowler.

Quote of the week

Brett Favre, Minnesota Vikings

"There were a lot of what-ifs, a lot of reasons we didn't win," Favre said. "When I came here and looked at our schedule (and saw the Steelers game), I went, 'Oh-h-h.' "

Notable performance

The Pittsburgh Steelers defense

Twice in the fourth quarter the previously undefeated Minnesota Vikings and quarterback Brett Favre marched deep into Steelers' territory looking to take the lead. Both times the Pittsburgh defense rose to the challenge and forced turnovers, which were returned for touchdowns. The first touchdown came on a LaMarr Woodley 77-yard fumble return. The second ended most of the suspense on the outcome as Keyaron Fox had an 82-yard interception return.
