Awards for social-media stars

On Friday, Nov. 6, social media clubs from Salt Lake City, Utah Valley and Cache Valley will host an awards dinner to recognize Utah companies and individuals who have effectively used social media to enhance their businesses and build community connections.

Nearly two dozen were selected for the awards, out of more than 200 submissions. Honors include "best blog," "best use of YouTube," and "best Twitter user."

David Bradford, the chief executive officer of Fusion-io in Salt Lake City, will be the keynote speaker at the event. Tickets are $50 and are available for purchase at www.utahsocialmediaawards.info/event-tickets
