Former Utah defensive end Paul Kruger, who now plays for the NFL's Baltimore Ravens, took advantage of a bye week and returned to Salt Lake City for a couple of days.
Kruger was on the sidelines for Utah's 23-16 overtime win over Air Force on Saturday.
"I'm just proud of the guys," he said. "They showed heart tonight and stepped up when they needed to."
Kruger was extremely pleased with how his little brother, David, performed. The redshirt freshman made a career-high 13 tackles in the game.
"He played great. I was real proud of him," Paul said. "He's been working his butt off to get to where he's at. So I think it'll just continue to progress from here."
