Republican state delegates from state House District 68 will meet Nov. 21 in the Juab County Courthouse to select a replacement for Rep. Brad Winn.

Winn, R-Ephraim, resigned to take a job with Utah State University. His term ends January 2011. The seat is up for general election in 2010.

The delegate meeting will be at 5 p.m. at 160 N. Main, Nephi.

GOP state chairman Dave Hansen said those interested in being considered by the delegates should file a letter of candidacy with the state GOP by Friday, Nov. 13, at 5 p.m.

The letter can be sent via e-mail, fax or post to Utah Republican Party, 117 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84111; fax: 801-533-0327; e-mail: info@utgop.org.

State law says a legislator must be at least 25 years old, a three-year resident of Utah and a resident of the district for the past six months.
